Why do we need multiple Functions which state the same thing cant you just make that a global function?

Thanks if you are able to help!

They don't state the same thing, imagine that you have a base class for standard users and a subclass for upgraded users. searchUsers function for the base class allows standard users to perform 10 searches per day. But you will possibly want to give upgraded users the ability to perform more searches lets say 100/day, thats where you override the function of the base class. Hope this helps..
