Why do you have to use "> " in input? please answer A.S.A.P

You do not have to use that when getting input. But it happens to be a very common symbol that most users will recognize as meaning the program is waiting for them to type something.

But you can show anything you want to the user instead, for example:

    new_input = input("What is your next item or command? ")
