Why does putting self into the method and then putting self.name recall the name?

I'm not sure why anything that comes after the method such as

def praise(instance) or def praise(self)

works when then calling instance.name or self.name to get it back again.

Cux the class is blueprint, and needs to know which object working on ,so when we pass self to a function that means we talling that function to operate on that instance of the class. Good luck :)
