iOS Object-Oriented Swift Properties Computed Properties

why don't we have to specify that a computed property returns something like we do with functions/methods

what i actually mean is:

let x: Int
let y: Int
var computedProperty: Int  -> {
      return (x * y)
}

we would need to tell the system that we're "->" something normally , right ? because apparently it wont work if i dont specify "return" before doing the calculation inside.
