Why is my code working, but not correct?

My code is below: var isAdmin = false; var isStudent = true;

if ( isAdmin ) { alert("Welcome administrator") } else if (isStudent) { alert("Welcome student."); }

The alert box is popping us with "Welcome student.", but Treehouse says "I don't see the alert box with "Welcome student." Am I missing something in my code?

script.js
var isAdmin = false;
var isStudent = true;

if ( isAdmin ) {
    alert("Welcome administrator")
} else if (isStudent) {
  alert("Welcome student.");
}

Hi Jordan, You are missing a curly brace at the end of your else statement. (Maybe that's just a result of the cut-and-paste?) Also, you are missing a semi-colon after the if statement. Hope that helps!
