JavaScript Introducing JavaScript Let's Make a Game Modifying Values

Why is my Task 1 no longer passing, even though the code hasn't changed?

I want to proceed on to the Challenge Task 2 of 2, but then when I check my work, it says "Oops! It looks like Task 1 is no longer passing." The code I created for task one is still there, but it's not reading it. What gives?

Hi there! You're doing great, but there's a misunderstanding of the second step that is resulting in a syntax error. Because of the syntax error, your code can no longer be interpreted.

You wrote:

platform2.create(400, 450, 'platform');

The challenge is asking you change the string to 'platform2', but you're changing the variable name of the instance of the platform. Because platform2 is undefined, this causes an error and your code can not be run.

It is looking for:

platform.create(400, 450, 'platform2');

Hope this helps! :sparkles:
