Why is the padding of my contact information not respected, now that I have applied the 2 columns format?

I have applied the two columns style to the about page. #primary { width: 50%; float:left; }

#secondary { width:40% float:right; }

For some reason, even though we have not touched the padding on the “a” elements of the contact information. My little icons are messed up. Could you take a look at my code and my webpage?

Thanks.

I just fixed the issue by doing this:

#secondary { width:40% margin:0;
float:right; }

Is that a bit weird?
