Why is there limited content on Design?

Hi guys,

Even though Treehouse is superb, I really feel a lack of content on design.

There's a lot of 'Here is a logo been created' without going in depth on how it was done.

For e.g In Illustrator basics the reference to the pen tool is an 8 minute video, that is no where near enough time to cover how to use that particular tool.

I understand a lot of learning with design/drawing is to do with experimenting on your own but I think there should be more emphasis on design.

For e.g. I've been watching some helpful videos on drawing and have improved... I now would like to convert those drawings in to vector logos but finding content on this kind of thing seems tough outside of youtube.

Just a thought anyway.

Keep up the good work.

Joe

Great question!

I was super excited when they started adding design courses. My purpose for joining Treehouse was to learn some coding skills which I've since lost interest in, however, I reactivated my account because of the game design course and hope to see that content expand.

And sure, you can find content elsewhere, but they don't teach like Treehouse! The team here teaches in a way that really seems to stick.

Hopefully they plan to create more design content. (I wouldn't even mind some photography courses :p)
