why is this not executed correct. this is silly. <script src="script.js"> alert('Warning!'); </script>

the test is telling me to show a alert box with a warning msg in it. I wrote the code and it keeps executing it wrong.

index.html
<!DOCTYPE HTML>
<html>
<head>
  <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">
  <title>JavaScript Basics</title>
</head>
<body>
<script src="script.js">
  alert('Warning!');
  </script>
</body>
</html>

You cannot include both a src file and JavaScript statements in a single tag. You can only do one of these two:

<script src="script.js"></script>

OR

<script>
 alert('Warning!');
</script>

hi thanks for the answer. removing the src from the test 1 solved the problem. It looks like these tests are very specific.
