Why isn't there a Ruby Tech-Degree Course?

I want to start learning Ruby and Ruby on Rails but why isn't there a Tech-Degree Program for it?

Treehouse just (not too long ago) hired a new Ruby Teacher. (Jay McGavren). He's has just released a Rails 5 Basics Course. I would, however, think that designing an entire track might take some time, but last I heard it is on the schedule.

Well I just started going through the Ruby courses today, are they not updated enough to be worth doing or what?

Honestly, that's more of a personal choice, but in my opinion, it is always worth it to learn. I found them very valuable to further understandings of Ruby. However, Languages do change over time (Look at Swift!), but the fundamental elements and syntax haven't changed much in Ruby or Rails. It won't be anything like the significant changes that happened in Swift. Some things, you may need to research and look up (but that is part of the learning process).

I would do the Rails 5 course and make sure to watch his new workshop on installing local environments (this will allow you to work with specific releases of Ruby and Rails). Rails is a great language, and I'm excitedly waiting for future releases.

Keep Coding! :)

Well I'm only learning Ruby and Ruby on Rails cause I heard its an easier language to first pick up programming, I was initially doing Java but could not conceptualize it much. I want to find a language that I can understand and land a job quick so I can get more experience and build up more skills and learn. I'm hoping to be able to learn Ruby and Rails and in turn be able to learn Java for android Development.
