Java For Loops

why %n and not \n?

in the extra lessons on looping, Craig show on the Milk example this... console.printf(“%d bottles of milk on the wall… %n”, i );

my question is why %n and not\n?

The reason is that different operating systems use different line break symbols, meaning that \n won't actually work on all platforms. %n will automatically use the correct line break for the system it is running on.

you explained it perfectly. Thanks!!
