Why shouldn't I include "https/ http requirement" in app.js?

As I went through Node.js courses, I thought using http methods like GET or POST means that you have to require http like: javascript var http = require('http');? Or is it because that while using Express, it's included in the framework already? Really confuses me. Thanks in advance for helping.

The way I understand it, is http is the built-in library for "web requests". Express takes http and builds upon it. So, as you said, http is still used in the background, but there is no need to include it as Express takes care of that in the background and presents easy to use functionality.
