JavaScript Introducing ES2015 ES2015 Basics Template Strings

why there is a t on the html code?

I noticed that the html code between the template literal has a prefix of "t".

<table class="table"> <thead> <tr> <td>Name</td> <td>Followers</td> </tr> </thead> <tbody> <tr> <td>${student.name}</td> <td></td> </tr> </tbody> </table>

Can somebody explain me the reason for the prefix of t? Thanks
