Why treehouse not let students rate for each course

I have been using treehouse for half a year, and I have to say that I learned a lot here.

It really give me excellent study experience, especially as a beginner of some new tech.

However, when you wish to learn some more advanced topic, I think students' review can help a lot.

There are many high level courses in treehouse do not provide very explicit explanation. This is not just my opinion. If you guys take a look at some courses like angular js, flask, there are many students complaining that it's hard to follow, because the instructor just type some code without explanation.

If the treehouse let student rate for each course, then these courses without clear explanation would get a lower score, It's very good for a future student to decide whether to take this course.

I have taken many courses here, but now I personally prefer some sites like udemy. Because it only takes me a little time to figure out which course is best for me, according to previous students' reviews and ratings.

Agree with mostly everything. A rating system would be valuable for the community. That would also serve as a measurable feedback to the treehouse team.

I like treehouse over udemy mostly because it stacks courses into tracks, and that is the best thing a novice software engineer can aim for. It certainly gave me a sense of direction. But I do agree we still have to hunt for other sources too, like the one you mentioned.
