Why would I receive a 404 Not Found page error when I entered the href link?

I am not sure what I did wrong. I entered following code:

<p><a href=“#top”>This is a Third paragraph. </a></p>

I saved it, then refreshed the page. However, the page displayed: 404 Not Found page error. The requested URL /“ was not found on this server.

This is the page it brought me to: http://port-80-oveurot0v3.treehouse-app.com/#top

Is there a HTML element with the id "top" on the page? (<div id="top"></div>)

Hello Brandon!

I am assuming that you just want the page to return you to the top of the page. This can be achieved by using the following: href="#"

What you typed would take you to the element with the ID value of "top".

Let me know if that works!
