Will having a website created in two languages improve the SEO?

I am creating a website in order to make show my portfolio and since I am in Mexico and searching for either an entry level position or a freelance project, it makes sense to have it in english and spanish.

Hello Jaime,

As Brazil is a big segment in your region. I would suggest you add Portugese, . Your SEO will be much better.

I would recommend to put the default language as Spanish. Because your business may be having much more success right in neigbourhood.

Once it is successful, you move for growing outside, by continuously amending your business model.

Thanks, I don't speak portuguese yet but I heard from reliable sources that it can be learned easily in three months. Specially considering that I can learn for 4 hours or more each day.

So I'll consider that too. Thanks so much.

For example look at the Virgin Mobile main page (http://www.virgin.com/gateways/mobile). This guides the user to the region their from. Speaking Portuguese is great but will not help in directing users to your portfolio. Try to get into publications like Communication Arts (http://www.commarts.com/).
