1,419 PointsWill I be able to make an app?
Hi guys, I have an app idea that I want to expand on and create, however I have no experience with making an app and have a couple questions on it.
Will I be able to create the app with not much experience? (It is a interactive app based on your gps location.)
Should I focus on a specific platform (Apple or Android) or try to do both? (I have a friend who could focus on one and I on the other.)
Where should I start? Does treehouse provide everything I need to know to get it up and running? (If not what are some other good resources to get going?)
Thanks in advance!

Treehouse TeacherMicah;
You posted your question in the iOS topic section, so my disclaimer is that I have not taken any iOS/Swift courses at Treehouse so I am not the person to ask about what can and cannot be done after going through them. I have, however, taken many of the Android courses. As of today, the GPS feature is not covered in any of the courses. I know that it is on the planning board but no definitive timeline that I know of.
However, I had zero previous experience with Android development prior to the courses at Treehouse. Working through the courses helps not only in learning how to do specific things in Android, but also in where to find additional information. I have built an app on my own that utilizes the GPS feature. I have also been able to integrate the GPS technology into one of the Treehouse projects, the Stormy weather app.
In my opinion working through the Android Track, and I am sure it is much the same on the iOS side, does a great job of demonstrating the process for application development and not just the regurgitation of code. Additionally, the forums here offer great support for questions as you go through the process. Treehouse seems to continually be adding new functionality to help make people career ready and certainly working on your own project would be a step in that direction.
Happy coding and welcome to Treehouse!
