14,189 PointsWill we be getting more in depth training in creating large applications with Java?
I just recently finished the Java track here at treehouse, and it left me very unsatisfied (in the sense that I enjoyed learning it so much I wanted more). I am very interested in learning how to design and code larger applications for desktop users (mainly code, as my design skills are about on the same level as Craig... sorry Craig I feel your pain).
What this involves is learning how to add multiple panes and "windows" in the IDE that the user can open, close, and interact with. Since we really didn't cover a lot about the IDE (relatively speaking), I hoped that another course might be in the works for that sort of thing. Can we expect to see something like that to help us future programmers??

14,189 PointsRight? I felt very unsatisfied with how it ended. One feels pretty comfortable with what they learned in a command line sense, but once you start looking through some GUIs it's like... a whole new world. The good thing is that in the meantime I've started the Android track and really enjoy it. There are also several complaints I have about that track too, like teaching us some of the suggestions they make as Extra Credit, in particular using LocationManager and getLastKnownLocation() to return latitude and longitude for the weather app project. It is, however, a good alternative and keeps your mind thinking, "Java" while we wait for more from Craig.

6,067 PointsI'm curious about this too. Would love to see the Java track continue.
