You're pretty much spot on. You just have an extra closing parenthesis in the line of code. Just delete that one and the rest looks great.
Just a note, it is more common practice to have a space after the variable name and also after the equal sign. While this won't affect code, it is more common and a bit cleaner. So
var name="Jason"
is better as
var name = "Jason"
