What workspace should I use to develop my own site and work alongside the web design treehouse track?

As far as editing code outside of the online workspaces, there are alternative text editors that people use on their own computer. Some people use Notepad ++ or Sublimetext http://www.sublimetext.com/ for a lot of the coding. I used the Sublimetext when working out Python coding outside of workspaces. Some people have mentioned on Treehouse that they use a program called Brackets. Brackets has had great reviews and works along side of the Chrome Browser. http://brackets.io . Brackets claims on their site that they are "A modern, open source text editor that understands web design". With Brackets you need both the Chrome Browser and Brackets for the live preview option. The preview changes in real time as you change the code. https://youtu.be/rvo3Mv1Z4qU

Thank you, I will look those up... Is there anyway I can use the same workspaces as on here? or is it just a treehouse thing?

thank you very much.

Hi Katie, there a lot of different Editors some of them are free of cost and some are paid like Sublime Text. I personally use Brackets and prefer others to use it so as it is free of cost and it has an amazing feature like Live Preview.

thank you
