Hi I have what is probably a very naive question. I have only worked in Dreamweaver in the past, then took the How to Make a Website course here. In the course, we did everything in Workspace. If I want to try to do a project independently, what software (html css editor?) would I need to take the place of workspace? I'm trying to learn to work without Dreamweaver, as done in the course. Thanks! CH

33,856 PointsCarolyn, I wanted to simplify things for you, however, here is a more inclusive list of code editors. The list is not complete, but you may find it useful. The first few are specific to Mac.

There are a lot of text-editors out there to choose from, you can even use something like Notepad. I really like Sublime Text which is very popular, well supported and free to use.

Full Stack JavaScript Techdegree Student 3,392 PointsHello, Carolyn! There are many different text editors to choose from. The ones I like are Text Wrangler, which I know is available for Mac, but I'm not sure if it's on PC. NotePad ++ is another one which I think is very clean and easy to use.
