Workspace failing to launch

I submitted a bug report but I was just wondering if anyone else out there is unable to launch their workspace tonight.

I guess they have to do infrastructure work sometime. They're always going to annoy somebody.

is it the not authorized message? (i apologise if this comment is a duplicate, i keep getting 504s back from treehouse)

Hmm... I guess there was an issue and they are working to fix it, because now it's showing me the following: "Workspaces is undergoing scheduled maintenance. We're currently performing maintenance on Workspaces. We'll be back shortly!"

Bummer. I'll wait a little. I downloaded the files and I'm working on the challenge on my own.

Hi Eliana, We're sorry for any troubles this has caused. Workspace was down for a bit due to some scheduled maintenance, but should be back up and running now. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

If this still isn't working for you, feel free to send us an email at help@teamtreehouse.com and let us know.

Kind regards, Walter

Walter, thank you so much for your response. I greatly appreciate it. Lately I've been having a lot of issues with my workspace failing to launch, so I automatically thought it was just that same issue lasting a lot longer.

In the future, it'd be super helpful if there was a banner or alert put up before maintenance started so that students who are online and actively working would be aware of the downtime and not waste precious time chasing a phantom issue. I spent several minutes killing my sessions, launching everything again, changing browsers, filing a bug report, coming to the forums, etc.

But again, thank you so much for the note. It's appreciated.
