WORKSPACE ISSUE. Contacted treehouse and was told there was no issue on their end.

I emailed treehouse support and was told there was no workspace issue from their end. I've never had this issue before with any other workspace. All the files are wrong and there is no index.html, main.css or normalize.css. In a previous question below pertaining to this same issue another member typed out all the code on screen manually to share with us so we could copy and paste to solve the issue. After copying and pasting the code don't forget to change the svg file name to star.svg.

TREEHOUSE PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE.

I am having the same issue. Only the SVG file is showing, no HTM or CSS files. Reseting the workspace did not help.

Zachary, I got that issue. Here is a snapshot of the workspace you are supposed to get:

You should be able to "fork" this workspace... look in the upper right-hand corner of the window that comes from the snapshot of my old workspace.

best, Jeff

Everyone at one time or another will experience a connection issue. This is not necessarily the fault of Treehouse or you. It can range from your ISP's connection, your wireless gateway (access point), or even with your chosen Internet browser's cache or session state.

If your issue is repeatable, then this is definitely something you should record, reproducing your steps in the report.

About the best you can do is to report parameters of your incident:

  1. Browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, etc.) and version
  2. Operating system (Mac, Windows, Linux, etc.)
  3. Time of incident (very important as Treehouse can check the logs)
  4. Workspace name
  5. Internet connection type-- wired/wireless
  6. Explain what happened, detailing steps if your can

best, Jeff

mg25 , did you try forking that snapshot provided by Jeff Muday below? I'm hopeful that will work for you.

I just opened a fresh workspace from this video "SVGs as Images" and it's still working fine for me. I'll bring it up again to the others at Treehouse though. It's just strange that it's only this video and happens less than once a year. It's seemingly impossible for us to replicate this issue so it's difficult to diagnose. Hopefully we'll find something this time.

Hopefully Jeff's link will get you through the course

Same issue is happening for me...I've tried it multiple times and it still displays the unusable workspace.

Still seeing this same issue here-- it's not a connection issue, the Workspace link in the tutorial points to a Workspace titled SVG Basics - Vector Graphics. It appears to be an incorrect link from the tutorial that needs to be changed to the link for the snapshot Jeff posted or the correct official workspace.
