workspace snapshot

Where can we download the post-lesson workspace snapshot? I would like to try something on top of what has been built in the code presented in the lesson and I really don't want to type the whole things every time.

FeedBack about workspace get the code snapshot available for people to download.

Hi there,

I think the workspace has a download option in the File menu? That gives you your files.

Or, just revisit the workspace from the Workspaces link top-right (to the left of your current points tally). It'll remain in there with all your code intact. You can also click the 'camera' icon to take a snapshot - it looks like a briefcase with a dot on it. That gives you a link allowing you, or others, to 'fork' the workspace.

Let me know if that's what you needed.

Steve.

Hey Steve, I want to follow the pace of the lesson and I don't really want to pause every 10s and type exactly what was written in the class. Is there any way to fork the code of the class version?

I don't think so. I just opened the WS for that video and it comes pre-populated but I'm assuming that's a starting position, rather than the complete code.

Would the next stage of the course hold the final position of the current video, i.e. the starting position of the next video - that might not use the same Workspace, for that reason, though!

I think it is envisaged you follow along with the code as Craig dictates it.

Steve.

Thank you very much, Steve. Ya, I have to admit that it is a very good design. But my monitor is too small that I cannot separate it into two screens.

I find having two monitors really helpful.
