you are sort of right. It says "Write a function named "addTwo" that accepts two float numbers as arguments. The function should also return a float which is the sum of the two arguments passed to the function.

Remember. function definitions usually take the form of

returnType functionName(dataType argumentOne, dataType argumentTwo) {

return someVariable;

}

so we need a function that returns a float and accepts two floats as arguments:

float addTwo(float a, float b) {

}

ill let you figure out what goes inside the function.

so would it be { float a =7 float b = 7 printf("addtwo %f\n", float a, float b) return 0

no. remember, the purpose of this function is to add the two parameters passed into the function (a and b) together and return that sum. Thats it. no printing, no assigning values.

is it float addTwo (float a, float b) return a + b;

yeah thats right, but you forgot the curly braces.

float addTwo (float a, float b) {
return a + b;
}
