I'm on writing your programs (2nd video) in (intro into programming js) The instructor uses a premade index file for the instruction. The text editor (text mate) is for mac. Can I use notepad?? Do I use the index file he is using?? Do I make my own??? Is there a template of this file??

Jeffrey Ayers Yes you can use notepad or any other your choice of of text editor. I use Notepad++. It works great for me. I am loving it.

It is not mandatory to use index file he is using. But since we all are just starting to learn programming it is a good idea to use index file that instructor is using.

You can make your own one if you prefer that way. End of the day it is your convenience.

No it is not template at all.

But not to forget to add .js extension when you are saving your javascript file.

Have fun!

thanx alot for the info. I actually just did it with dreamweaver and it worked just fine. Thanx
