WYSIWYG

So I found an opportunity to get a foot in the door for front-end web development, however their posting is as follows:

" seeking a Jr. Development Intern who is interested in learning more about web design and development while contributing to large projects across many technologies and platforms. The primary responsibilities will initially include creating and maintaining web pages via a WYSIWYG editor, but would ideally include some light development and automation work as well. "

They mention as WYSIWYG editor (i know what this is) and it appears to have a limited amount of actual development.

My question, since this is an internship (paid) would this position at all benefit my career path of becoming a front-end web developer in the future?

Since I'm switching my entire career path and education, I'm not looking to do things that will not even help with this path.

Thanks for the help and any suggestions!!

Any experience will be valuable in the long run.

It will help validate your skill set and allow you to work on different projects.

A web design position can lead to a great front end development career.

Hope this helps Good Luck!

You must remember that current WYSIWYG programs are not like they used to be.

Nowadays they focus more on code.

As Caleb King said, any experience is best.

Furthermore, who says you won't end up working for them as an actual web developer in the future?

Go for the job, go to work every day and do your best and show enthusiasm. If they are happy with your performance and attitude you could be in for a chance to progress.
