When Amit is teaching, and goes to the iPhone simulator, his window literally looks like an iPhone. Mine is a big window and when I change the size of the window most of the app is covered.

42,016 Pointsthats because Amit is using an older version of Xcode in these videos. Xcode 5 (what you are using) uses a new version of the simulator that is just a window and doesnt look like an actual phone.

42,016 PointsIt is. In the menu bar of xcode select Xcode -> Preferences -> Text Editing and then check the checkbox next to "Line Numbers"
