Export Multiple Artboards2:46 with Ashley Burke
To move our social media icons, we will need to learn how to export multiple artboards.
And we're gonna do the same thing for the social media icons. 0:00 But we'll do something a little bit different, which is cool. 0:04 So let's select these. 0:07 I'm holding down Shift and clicking. 0:12 Then I'll copy, Command C. 0:15 File, New. 0:20 Profile is web, that's good. 0:23 The size doesn't matter. 0:24 We'll hit Okay and paste it into your document, Command V, all right. 0:26 And so for this first one I'm going to be creating, 0:31 really for all of them, Artboard for each one and 0:37 then we're going to export them all out at the same time as separate SVGs. 0:42 It's pretty simple. 0:46 Let me show you. So we'll use our Artboard Tool. 0:48 And I want. 0:52 I want it to be small. 0:54 So my selection tool, click off. 0:57 I am going to select my Facebook icon, then go to Object. 1:00 This is like before with the pencil, Artboards. 1:06 Fit to selected art. 1:10 Perfect. 1:11 And now I'm going to add in two more Artboards into the document. 1:14 So, Object > Artboards > Fit to Selected Artwork. 1:20 And then we'll add one more Artboard, right here. 1:29 Click off. 1:34 Select it, Object > Art Boards > Fit to Selected Art. 1:36 Perfect. 1:42 Okay, so now each one has its own Artboard. 1:43 So when we go to save, File > Save As. 1:49 Let's call these Social Media Icons. 1:55 And this is gonna save on our Desktop, and we want it to be an SVG. 2:04 And notice when I change it to an SVG, I have the option to check off 2:11 Use Artboards, which is definitely what we're gonna do. 2:16 And we'll use all of them, and we'll hit Save. 2:19 And this is the same setting as before. 2:22 I'll hit Okay. 2:25 Awesome. And so now when I go to my Finder, 2:27 let's see. 2:31 There they are, right on my Desktop. 2:36 So social media icons one, two, and three. 2:39 Fantastic. 2:44
