Sign upHi, I'm Ben Jakuben, and this week's forum contest is for Android development. 0:00 The objective is simple, create a clock app, that's it. 0:04 It's pretty open-ended, so I look forward to seeing what you come up with. 0:07 There are a few simple rules that are included below 0:10 as well as details for how to enter the contest. 0:13 Your app must be built as a native app, so web or 0:15 hybrid apps are not allowed, and you must provide the source code too. 0:18 I'll be judging entries based on how the clock looks and works. 0:21 It's up to you if you want to make it analog or digital. 0:25 For a great example of a clock that took a lot of 0:27 work to build, check out the Timely Alarm clock on Google Play. 0:29 And no, your clock does not need to be an alarm clock. 0:33 You can put your entries on GitHub or send us a zip file of the 0:36 project, include a link to Google Play if you do submit it, which I do encourage. 0:39 If you get stuck, ask questions here on the forum. 0:43 Remember, collaboration is more valuable than competition. 0:46 Good luck. 0:49
