Sign upI'm Nick Pettit @nickrp on Twitter, 0:00 and in this week's forum contest, we want you to redesign Facebook. 0:02 Here I have my Facebook profile page up. 0:08 You'll notice that there's a profile picture and name, also to posts I've made, 0:11 information about me, the navigation, and so on. 0:16 You can go ahead and choose either the Facebook profile page 0:21 or the newsfeed page which is kind of the homepage of Facebook. 0:25 Either one of those pages and then you need to go ahead and redesign that page. 0:30 You could do that by applying a new style sheet to the Facebook page. 0:36 You could just create a pixel perfect mock up 0:41 in Photoshop if you would like to do it that way. 0:44 You're more than welcome to or you can do it in illustrator or any other type of tool 0:47 or you could go ahead and just build something in a tool like code pen. 0:53 If you want to use your own HTML and CSS, you're welcome to do that. 0:58 This is a purely designed-based contest. 1:02 So we will not be judging based on any kind of code. 1:07 All you need to do is figure out a better design 1:11 or an alternative design to a profile page or the newsfeed page 1:16 that you think might be a little bit more optimized 1:22 or a little bit more aesthetically pleasing to users of Facebook. 1:25 That's pretty much it but there are more details about this contest below the video. 1:31 So be sure to check those out and read them carefully. 1:35
