Sign up[Male] <<Hi, I'm Michael.>> 0:00 I'm going to be giving you a brief tour of "Groups" as Chris. 0:02 Anyway, so you can see right here, I am logged in as Chris 0:04 and that I was well missed while I was gone by Mike over here. 0:08 So we can see all the badges that I have to unlock. 0:11 This is just the normal stuff you would see in any dashboard, 0:14 but because I am in "admin," I have a few special things going on here. 0:16 I have a "Group Activity" tab, a "Group Members" tab, 0:19 and also "Group Standings" over here. 0:22 So, as you can see, there are five people in my group: 0:26 Sam, John, Rebecca, Chris, and George. 0:28 So, Chris (that's me), I have unlocked only two badges, 0:31 but Sam, who is in the lead, has unlocked 31 badges. 0:35 So you get this great ranking, so you can see how people are doing 0:37 and see how many badges your team has unlocked. 0:39 Okay? 0:41 So let's head over to "Group Activity." 0:43 Okay, so on the "Group Activity" page, 0:47 you get a timeline--a little stream of information here-- 0:49 of all of the different videos that your team has watched. 0:52 So Chris just watched a video 20 minutes ago. 0:55 George saw "First Step" six days ago 0:58 and then also, over here at the bottom, you can see that 1:01 Sam unlocked a "Basics" badge about 19 days ago. 1:04 So, with the "Group Activity" tab, you can really quickly see 1:07 what everyone is up to, 1:09 and you can see how they are ranked over here on the side. 1:11 The last tab I want to show you is the "Group Members" tab, 1:14 and the "Group Members" tab allows you to quickly 1:17 add and remove members from your group, 1:19 so, as your organization grows, you may find that you need to add a member. 1:22 So I am about to add a new member to my organization: Mike. 1:25 So let me just type his email address in here. 1:28 It's mike@teamtreehouse.com. 1:30 So click "Add." 1:32 So "Booya"--I got a little message up here at the top from Mike, the frog-- 1:34 "I just added and emailed your new team member." 1:39 So, right now, Mike will have received an email, an invitation here, 1:42 so I've got the option to resend the invitation if for whatever reason he didn't get it 1:45 and then when he accepts it, this resend button here will disappear, 1:49 and that's it. 1:52 Groups is pretty easy to understand, and it's an awesome way to manage your team. 1:54
