Sign upHi, I'm Jason. 0:00 Learning how to develop Ruby on Rails applications can be a lot of fun. 0:01 When going through this track, 0:05 we're going to assume that you don't have any programming or web experience at all. 0:07 You'll learn everything you need to know to create Ruby on Rails applications. 0:12 When I say everything, I mean everything. 0:16 You'll start by learning how to create a simple web page using the languages of 0:20 the web, HTML and CSS. 0:25 But web pages are just a small part of learning Ruby on Rails. 0:26 You'll also need to learn how things work behind the scenes. 0:31 For this part of the track, you'll be learning to interact with computers 0:34 by typing in commands to the console in console foundations. 0:38 Having command line knowledge is an integral part of learning Ruby on Rails 0:42 because you use it so frequently. 0:46 After learning about the console, you'll move on to basic programming, and 0:49 then working with databases. 0:53 By the time you're finished with all these things, then the real fun starts, and 0:55 you can begin to learn Ruby on Rails. 0:59 By the end of the track, 1:01 you'll have finished a simple Ruby on Rails application and 1:02 you'll know how to add on to it as well as where to go for help when you get stuck. 1:05 We can't wait to learn with you. 1:10 [SOUND] 1:12
