What is wrong with my code?

This code passed the challenge:

    return redirect(url_for("index"))

The problem is in the way you assigned the user_id to the id of the User model.

This should fix it:

to_user = models.User.get(models.User.id==user_id)

can someone explain this part?

I think the issue everyone was having was that they were putting an underscore in user_id. The instructions even had it "/follow/<int:user_id>", once I changed it to userid it worked :)

Just did the challenge, it was hard to know the reason I was failing was because

to_user = models.User.get(models.User.user_id==user_id)

was incorrect. The feedback given on failure was merely "Bummer try again" which was completely unhelpful in trying to find the root cause of why it was failing, But after reading the comments changing to

 to_user = models.User.get(models.User.id==user_id)

passed the challenge

It just says "Try again!".

models.User.user_id**user_id is trying to raise models.User.user_id by the power of user_id. Pretty sure that's not what you want.

Here: models.User.user_id*user_id >>> it suppose to be models.User.id*user_id (you are comparing it to ID field in the database)
