when i run locally i get output needed but i keep on getting bummer message
def favorite_food(name="None",food="None"):
return "Hi, I'm {name} and I love to eat {food}!".format(name='Michelangelo', food='PIZZA')

Your solution is close but your function is actually defined to accept two keyword arguments, which you then fill by unpacking a dict object (as opposed to just passing the dict object itself into the function).
See this thread: https://teamtreehouse.com/community/unpacking-dictionary-2
Dave StSomewhere provides the most elegant solution.
