Treehouse Moderator 91,253 PointsHello TeamTreehouse! How are you all getting on? :)
Been less than a year for me on Treehouse and I'm just in the middle of one of those times when I'm looking back and taking stock of what I've learned, what I still need to focus on etc.
My biggest points hauls have been in CSS and JavaScript but I feel I still need to devote some time to JS to make sure more of it stays in my head. The information is in there somewhere as I've completed most of the courses but it's just a question of more practice. I still think i've learned more from the more recent JS courses though.
I'm doing CSS Basics at the moment.
I'm looking forward to tacking CSS Selectors completing Angular JS which so far has baffled me Ajax Basics for a second time, reviewing what I've learned in JS Basics, JS Loops and Objects
And this is before I've even started touching on PHP and making websites with Wordpress.
What's exciting you about Treehouse at the moment?

11,066 PointsHey Jonathan, good to hear from you. I'm on my second month at Treehouse, and really enjoying it here. I've learned a lot from the Web Design track, and I am working my way through the Front End Development now. I have to say I'm amazed at what one is capable of doing with HTML/CSS alone, and I'm looking forward to the possibilities that JS brings to the table.
Since I've started learning here I've been marketing myself on freelance websites, looking for quick work. So far I've had one customer. I can't wait until I can get a lot more websites under my belt.
With so many topics offered, it is hard to pick a next track, but I am leaning towards PHP. I will eventually complete them all, but it is hard to choose lol.

Courses Plus Student 45,640 PointsI'm in the same boat as you Jonathan Grieve. Right now, i'm focusing on JS. I wanna know my way around the MEAN(Mongo DB, Express, Angular, Node) stack. I wanted to lean towards PHP also MICHAEL PITTS but I just prefer to look at cleaner syntax. I'm going to dedicate this year to the MEAN stack, Ruby/Ror, and design.

Treehouse Moderator 91,253 PointsMy next port of call is AJAX. Kind of a review as I've already earned the points for it but I've a great new idea for a development website which uses the techniques taught in the AJAX course.
I created 2 addon domains for my website one of which this and other will live, and now I've got Balsamiq, I have a quality way of designing the site.

13,023 PointsI think lately I have made some well rounded gains. I can now read PHP quickly and easily and write it if needed, I have got most of the basics of git figured out, and I have done a lot of Python! Right now I am focused on the Flask framework and building my online portfolio with it.
In the next year I hope to have gained I high level of experience with Flask and or Django (very excited for the new content coming out here), fleshed out my portfolio to at least 5 full impressive sites, and have a higher presence in the development community.

Treehouse Moderator 91,253 PointsI never really took to GIT. I know some of the basic commands but when it got to the more advanced stuff I just frazzled in the brain. I'll hopefully have another crack at t for now but I still do all my organising via Windows Explorer and cloud computing.

13,023 PointsI was the same way for a while but once I started working in a 3 man team version control became a necessity! I only know the easiest commands in it but that's all I need right now.
Goodluck with your learning! --Ricky

Treehouse Moderator 91,253 PointsI'll have a crack at it again, if only to refresh myself on the basic commands. :-)

2,322 PointsBeen a member for six months, but just started sinking my teeth into the lessons.
I originally purchased the subscription for one of my employees in customer service. He mentioned his interest in learning business on the side so I told him if he'd do the lessons I'd pay for his time. He never really made use of the account, which is a shame. But here I am, and loving every minute of it!

I'm not ready to move on yet but I'm conflicted because I recently took out web hosting upgrade to include databases and WordPress CMS so I'm itching to get on with that too lol
