Do you mean to ask which type of business can make the most money?

I don't think there is a straight answer. It first of all depends whether you like working in a given area, then any opportunities you identify. If you secure the right opportunities because of the study or observation you have made, you might be able to devise a service or product that become useful to many people.

I have begun the first few stages of an awesome company and hopefully these videos will prove to myself I'm not crazy! Sometimes it's about gut instincts yet to seek out advice is very dangerous when so new. If someone doesn't understand or have the the experience in the field which you seek advice, their opinion may just destroy your progress or throw you off track. Beware!

Hello World,

Im starting a service based mobile app development firm and am looking for tools and advice as to how to establish and grow it. Will this course help with that? Does it introduce us to the development tools one can use for this purpose as well?

Moreover in the introduction there was talk regarding learning the basics of web technologies. is that covered here as well?

All advice is welcome,

It's not clear from your message where you have difficulties

  • Do you already have an idea of what you want to develop?
  • Do you know how to develop it?
  • Do you have the tools?

You'll need to answer some of these questions to better evaluate your situation.

Hello Adarsh,

At the moment I am looking to setup a service organisation and develop applications for clients thus the aspect regarding development and lifecycle is a little distant for me at the moment.

Does this give a clearer picture?

Hello, it's still really vague. Sounds like you just want to start a business but you have no idea, no product, no tools, and no knowledge on HOW to use those tool.

It's going to be very hard. Just focus on something you know how to do.

Im from a business management background not looking to make a product but sell development service to others and have a few developers working with me on this enterprise. Was wondering wether this course would be any help towards the same. Thus the above questions. Not to worry I've already started with HTML.

Usually the people who do the managing often have previous "hands-on" experience - at least this is the case for small firms. It is this which allows them to sell the service and guide the development team simultaneously. They are able to focus, strategise, innovate and fill gaps in the market.

Going about to sell the service when you can't keep up with the nuts and bolts of the thing seems unrealistic. How will you assess what your developers are doing or if they are following best practices? These aspects can make a big difference between a good or a bad service. A client would rather work with someone who has been in the trench himself - so to speak. It inspires confidence about your product (or service) and makes them recommend it to others.

Just do a look up for freelancers, you will see hundreds upon hundreds of developers all of them gunning for nothing more than mediocrity. These are all people who are trying to do something they don't understand.
