JavaScript jQuery Basics (2014) Introduction to jQuery Ways to Include jQuery in a Project

It appears that the jquery.com website has been modified since filming the video.

The video shows one line of code for version 1.11.0. Version 3.2.1 is the most recent release. The code now has additional lines that are not shown in the video.

Hi Gwen Harp ,

Yes, that's true.

This answer, however, still works in the meantime.

And, while that's a temporary patch, so you can follow along, here are some good news, as we speak they're making a newer version of this course. It is expected to be released during this month! :)

The new "refresh" version is not showing in the roadmap page anymore. And the existing jQuery Basics course doesn't have 2017 in its name or description. How do we know this has been updated?

Hi J Tan,

Yes, I know. Well, actually it hasn't been updated. Coincidentally, just yesterday I asked support about it, and I quote below the answer I received:

The jQuery course has been pushed back as we are still working on some additional information for that course. Until we have a more concrete release timeframe, it has been removed from our Roadmap. We'll be sure to update that information once it is available.

Please do let us know if you have any other feedback you'd like us to share, or any other questions!

Best, Kara

How would you rate my reply? Great Okay Not Good

Looks like we will have to wait a little bit longer. :) In the meantime, there are some other really nice JS and CSS courses that we can take a look at. And if you're into the front-end world, you may also like to take a look at React courses. Just a couple of ideas not to let you empty-handed. :)

Thanks Nico for the update. I'm currently in the Front End Track waiting to start the jQuery course. I guess I'll just move on to another JS course within the track.
