Then I go through the program when i get to the part where it asks me if i want o purchase the items it doesn't reset for a new user, instead it just asks if I want to purchase again for the same amount.

229,744 PointsIf I remember that exercise correctly, you may be expecting a level of sophistication beyond what that code provides.
I believe it's a pretty simple example that doesn't handle multiple customers, and only handles a few examples of possible error conditions.
Of course, the sample code could be expanded to add additional features if you want more practice and some additional challenges.
