Python Dates and Times in Python (2014) Let's Build a Timed Quiz App Harder Time Machine

time_machine

Hi there,

Can someone please help me with this one? I am not sure where to begin. Would really appreciate it, I've been stuck here for weeks.

time_machine.py
import datetime

starter = datetime.datetime(2015, 10, 21, 16, 29)

# Remember, you can't set "years" on a timedelta!
# Consider a year to be 365 days.

## Example
# time_machine(5, "minutes") => datetime(2015, 10, 21, 16, 34)

Another, and maybe more pythonesque, way to do it should involve passing the string argument directly to the timedelta instantiation as a kwarg. This way you must create an dictionary and pass it to the object.

time_machine.py
    def time_machine(value, unit):
    argument = dict([(unit, value)])
    delta = datetime.timedelta(**argument)
    return starter + delta

Do not forget "years" is not a valid keyword for the timedelta, and must be handled with an if statement.
