UX Foundations Deep Dive: Intro to User Experience!

Hey Guys!

The first stage of UX Foundations: Intro to User Experience launched a few days ago! Have you unlocked your badge yet?

While this first stage is primarily an introduction to UX, in the next stage we'll dive head first into the research phase and learn how to:

  • Define business & project goals
  • Determine project constraints
  • Choose the right tools, techniques, and methods for our project
  • and set a project vision

I'm really excited for this course and I hope you are too! What topics are you most looking forward to learning about as it relates to UX?

Allison

I'm so sorry I wasn't able to complete this series on UX. :( I recently relocated to Las Vegas and was unable to continue my teaching at Treehouse, since we have to be in Orlando to record. I will however, still be writing blog posts for Treehouse and will be sure to write some on UX. So stay tuned for those!

I know whoever picks up this topic will do an amazing job. Thanks for the kind words, guys and good luck! :)

I think I earned the badge the day it launched :)

I'm really looking forward to the research portion. The more I can learn about research techniques, the better equipped I'll be to implement changes in my current position at work.

Im definitely excited about the course. Im getting closer to finishing my company website and will be doing some usability testings to make sure the UX is what it needs to be.

It's such a great job @Allison! I want to learn more about it!!

Hi Allison,

I've just earned the "Intro to User Experience" badge and wanted to say thanks for putting together such an excellent first stage in what I'm sure will be a fantastic course.

Going to follow up the references you give while I wait for the next stage to be released.

Hi, Is there any manner of rough estimation as to when we could expect more of the UX Foundation stages to be released?

Leon Strydom - The teacher for the course Allison Grayce Marshall has left Treehouse. Nick Pettit said they were probably going to retire the content for now and redo later this year.

Thanks James.
