Custom Post Types and Fields0:42 with Zac Gordon
When you have custom types of content in WordPress you will see slightly different publish and edit pages than when dealing with posts and pages. The different variations of custom types of content in all WordPress sites is immense. In this video we will look at some common examples to help you feel comfortable with whatever your content looks like.
In addition to posts and pages, our example site also has 2 custom post types—
slide shows, as well as our destinations.
If we click in to add a destination,
you can see that we still have the title field, although we have special custom fields that just apply to the destinations on our site.
If your site has custom fields, they'll usually appear in the sidebar
along with the other content but have different fields in the standard, title, and main content that posts and pages have.
