Introduction1:13 with Pasan Premaratne
In this video, we introduce our project and talk about the high level concepts we're going to cover.
My name's Pasan, and in this course we're going to continue to build on
the concepts we learned in the build a simple iPhone app with Swift course,
by building a fun, playlist browsing app.
We're going to reinforce everything we know up to this point and
introduce some new stuff as well.
Now in a previous course, we made a simple single view app.
Now that was certainly a cool app.
But most apps aren't single page apps.
We'll start here by learning how to move from one view in our app to another.
Now in the Fun Facts app, we also worked with a simple data model.
But data is rarely only used in one view, and most apps transfer data
between multiple views to provide meaningful information to users.
When we have multiple views, we need to navigate between them in
a manner that's clear to the users of our app without letting them lose their place.
In building our playlist app,
we'll see how we can do that with navigation controllers.
Finally, we'll reinforce everything we learned earlier by practicing more
auto layout concepts, modeling our data, and
using UI elements like labels, buttons, and images.
