Custom Design Tools1:52 with Zac Gordon
WordPress.com offers custom tools for customizing the CSS, Fonts and Colors of a theme. We will use these tools to do some final customizations for our site.
There's one more premium feature I wanna take
advantage of here, and that's to update the CSS.
Notice that when we click on a link, when
it's active, it puts an underline underneath of it.
I'd like to remove that underline and instead,
have it appear bold.
So what I'm going to do is copy this rule here,
come into my Dashboard,
and now under Appearance and Custom Design,
I have access to customize the CSS for my site.
What I'll do is paste in the rule that I copied,
set the text decoration equal to none, and then have font-weight equal to Bold.
I'll go ahead and save these changes.
And then I can preview that when it is active it's now showing as bold instead.
I could also do things now like easily change the color scheme of the
entire site, as well as change the fonts that I want to be using.
This is only a premium feature and it's a really nice benefit to have.
However, I like the way this theme was set up in general,
and all I wanted to do was change that one bit of CSS.
