Introduction to WordPress Settings0:58 with Zac Gordon
When you login to a WordPress site as an administrator you will see a number of options for managing a variety of different settings that affect the WordPress site. In this introductory video we begin exploring these admin settings.
The WordPress admin area has a special section
that controls all the settings for a WordPress site.
An average user or editor on a WordPress
site doesn't need to have access to these settings.
However, if you're building sites with Wordpress,
or you want to become a power user,
someone who knows Wordpress inside and out,
then you will need to know these settings.
Over the course of the next few videos, we'll take an in-depth look at each of
the major settings, as well as suggest some
best practices for setting up your WordPress site.
You'll need to have a WordPress site up and
running so that you can play with these settings.
We'll also be doing a little bit of coding
and playing with the wp-config file so you'll want to
have your FTP information ready to log into your
site, or be able to work locally on your computer.
