Writing Settings in WordPress1:24 with Zac Gordon
In this video we go over the settings found under Settings > Writing in the WordPress Admin area.
Now let's take a look at the writing settings.

of the different options, and we can go ahead and look through that here together.
You can see that we can set a default post category, and the default post format.

video blog you might want to set that to be the default post format.

You could find this configuration here and
more instructions in the documentation page.

I'll jump ahead just to point out that we can discourage search
engines from indexing our site.
The reason this is happening is because I'm working on a local site
on my computer, which the the search engines could not really index.

Let's go ahead next, than, and look at the Reading sections where we
saw the visibility settings, as well as a few other options.
